There will be a Tennessee Boater’s Safety course review and test for anyone age 12 and up at Grundy County High School, Monday, August 29 at 6:00 pm in the cafeteria. The TWRA will conduct the review and test and the GCHS Bass Team is hosting the event. Anyone who would like to become a licensed boater is encouraged to attend.
Anyone wishing to take the test must go to wherever you buy your hunting and fishing license and buy a Type 600 license for $10.00. The $10.00 fee is a one-time only fee and allows you to take the test as many times as necessary to pass.
Any Tennessee resident born after January 1, 1989 must show the TWRA-issued wallet Boating Safety Education Certificate as proof of successful completion of the TWRA Boating Safety exam to operate any boat or jet ski in Tennessee. More information about the boater’s safety requirements in Tennessee is available at www.tn.gov/twra/boated.html. <o :p></o>
